Challenges Faced by Women in Obtaining Higher Education

In many societies, women face many challenges while trying to obtain higher education. 

Initially, women do not get higher education due to financial issue. In some family, their income is limited which only enough to support their living expense or only enough to support the higher education of the sons. 

Importance of Education in Promoting Gender Equality

Education is very important in promoting gender equality due to several reasons. 

First, education is the key to address gender-based inequalities that limit girls’ schooling opportunities. This will ensure that each individual has the same rights in getting education including rights to education, rights within education and rights through education. Everyone will get the same educational opportunities, experiences and outcomes and are treated equally despite their gender.
